Job Description Summary

The Vendor Recovery Manager will provide leadership and direction to the cross functional teams on all opportunities for cost of poor quality recovery across the supply chain organization including logistics, global manufacturing sites, fleet reliability operations and warranty teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work cross functionally with Fleet reliability, warranty, Supplier quality engineers, logistics, Global commodity leaders, and Finance to ensure suppliers Cost of Quality recovery opportunities are executed.
  • Build knowledge of global systems that enables data collection across the supply chain for review and disposition through SQEs.
  • Maintain system(s) that track recovery opportunities, project recovery and provide recovery status
  • Consistent communication and coordination of data reviews with supplier quality engineers to validate opportunities for recovery.
  • Responsible for establishing a rhythm that supports data review and monthly update to the leadership teams, COE Leaders, GCLs and appropriate Region teams.
  • Support teams where additional information is required to complete a recoverable transaction (non-conformance detail / Inspection Reports / PO/ Invoices, etc.)
  • Responsible for communication across functions and assignment of quality records to the appropriate owner/function.
  • Be able to issue Debit memos in APSS - as a result of vendor recovery settlement process, and route recovered funds back to the cost origin.
  • Lead teams on digital activities that enables the simplification of the process into one single tool that captures the incident details / communicates electronically with owner, capture respective costs and potential recovery opportunity globally.
  • Be responsible for daily workflow of VR analysts (direct and indirect) as needed.
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual VR pacing, reporting and planning activities.
  • Prepare and present program status and plans for increasing recovery rates to senior executives/VP of supply chain.
  • Define and develop processes that can be distributed to cross-functional teams in a written procedure and own updates that carry forward lessons learned and continuous program improvements accordingly.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Business, Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering or another related field

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, and/or Sourcing
  • Business process / Sourcing process / program ownership experience
  • Experience in the digital conversion of manual processes
  • Previous experience in Oracle/ERPs/ APSS / Gensuite / Tableau
  • Proven negotiations, leadership and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work independently to achieve targets and objectives
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to communicate & collaborate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to work, motivate and influence in a cross-functional, multi-site, regional team environment
  • Black Belt (BB) or equivalent Quality Certification Program graduate (GE Employees only)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $125,000.00 and $208,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
