CACI is searching for an accomplished, dynamic Solutions Architect, (also known as Pursuit Architect) to join our Technology and Solutions group in Herndon, VA (preferred). Position can be worked remote with occasional visits to the Herndon Virginia office.

This position is responsible for developing solutions for proposals and leading the overall solutioning and strategy for large capture efforts valued over $100M.  This includes guiding teams to draft solutions for all areas of a business opportunity / proposal (technical, management, staffing, transition, cost, teaming), integrating these aspects for a synchronized winning offering to the customer.

This position is focused on pursuit engineering. The SA will work collaboratively with the capture manager, the program/ portfolio managers, subject matter experts (SMEs) to drive win strategy, shaping, solutioning, and proposing integrated winning solutions for large/ strategic captures for new business and re-competes in our market areas.

The Solution Architect will host/ facilitate discovery sessions to identify, propose strengths and differentiators.   The SA relies on technical SMEs, understand CACI capabilities to develop technical solutions that address customer hot buttons, win themes – the comprehensive story of a bid.

The Technology and Solutions group solution architects may work on multiple pursuits at any given time or be focused on a large bid along with other SAs.

What You’ll Get to Do:
 

  • As a Solution Architect you will collaborate with the core capture team to lead the discovery of customer missions, challenges and CACI capabilities, gaps to recommend teaming, shaping and potential strengths-based solutions as applicable.
  • As a Solution Architect you will conceptualize, develop, communicate and propose solutions that will drive our growth and lead directly to top and bottom-line results. 
  • You will work with clients in both a long-lead and tactical capacity to help solve their critical needs and challenges. 
  • You will understand CACI capabilities and leverage them to create differentiating solutions to meet client requirements and challenges.  
  • These solutions may require knowledge of hardware, software, networking, cloud architectures, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domains to design, develop, and support integrated solutions for DOD clients. You will work with SMEs in many of these areas to determine the optimum approach, methodology, tools, architectures to develop an innovative, integrated & comprehensive technical and non-technical solution.  
  • In partnership with others, you will define total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements, develop system element architecture and design and interface definitions, define system implementation approaches and operational concepts


 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have demonstrated experience developing and solutioning for winning proposals for new and re-compete business pursuits, capture activities and proposal efforts starting at $100M TCV.
  • Must have participated in and authored as a Solution Architect, portions of the Technical and/or Management Volumes of large proposals for the Federal Government.
  • Use of a standard Shipley-type proposal approach is required
  • Demonstrated experience solutioning end-to-end acquisition lifecycle for different acquisition types to include (but not limited to) GSA FEDSIM, IAC-MAC, and other DoD acquisition vehicles.
  • Awareness of a breadth of current technologies and capabilities employed in the Federal Government, sufficient to grasp the technical details from a SME and integrate the relevant aspects into a comprehensive solution. Have the ability to identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps when the technical solutions are discussed/ presented by different SMEs/vendors. At least awareness, some knowledge or expertise in any or some of the technologies, frameworks to include (but not limited to) Software Architecture, Cloud, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cyber and Robotic Process Automation.
  • Awareness or mastery in various Software Development methodologies spanning Agile to Waterfall, DevSecOps etc.
  • Awareness and experience solutioning for integrated solution that include products, Hardware, software engineering and sustainment services.
  • Must have experience working front-end solutioning with clients to include assessing needs from requirements (SOW, SOO, PWS, other Draft material), good communication and relationship skills, determining pain points and key client needs, etc.
  • ·Leadership skills to operate, manage, guide, and influence cross functional and P&L teams on proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience interacting/ presenting to executive/ senior management. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related major.
  • 10+ years’ experience specifically leading, developing, shaping, and writing solutions for large proposal efforts.
  • Active DOD Secret required. Active DoD Top Secret preferred.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$104,200-$229,200
