What We Do

Service mortgage accounts to ensure all property preservation and default activities follow all state and federal laws. Perform a variety of default loan servicing tasks within timelines and workflow processes on files. Processes are managed in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to improve timeline and attorney performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Service mortgage accounts to ensure a variety of default and litigated activities are processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency and company guidelines
  • Order, review and maintain loan documents to include signing of documents needed to proceed within the default processes
  • Act as representative to the company in witness capacity for mediations, settlement, non-jury trials, jury trials and depositions.
  • Conduct a complete review of files to ensure all default timeframes have been met
  • Manage default proceedings on assigned cases by interacting and instructing various parties such as mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers and any other party involved with default
  • Monitor vendor performance by reviewing all proceedings, records and timeframes in addition to working all system/database activities throughout the default process
  • Audit accounts for expense compliance and ensures proper application to system of record
  • Performs required research on any loan with questionable items such as the application of payments, proper notification, and any other situation that may arise
  • Diligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partners
  • Manage exception reporting used as key controls for minimizing risk
  • Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence
  • Tasks are generally more complex in nature and usually involve evaluation and judgment
  • Decisions often require the review of multiple factors but are made within scope of company/department policies
  • No formal supervisory responsibility but is resource to less experienced team members
  • Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners
  • Recommends enhancements to department processes and procedures

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of directly related experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular function/department/field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service
  • GSE and Government experience
  • MSP and LoanSphere experience
  • Knowledge of advanced computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook experience

 

Salary Range: $27.40 - $45.66 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
