Job Description Summary

The KPO Specialist provides critical technical support to the KPO Workshop, acting as the primary resource for design, engineering documentation, and automation programming. Working under the guidance of Lean Leader, this role ensures all physical builds and tooling solutions meet rigorous Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. This is a technical individual contributor role with a structured career progression path toward Assistant Engineer or Automation Engineer positions.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


Design & Engineering: Draft and maintain detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and single-line diagrams for custom tooling and workshop fixtures.


EHS & Material Compliance: Ensure all materials, components, and design features utilized in shop-floor builds strictly adhere to site EHS policies and regulatory safety standards.


Automation Support: Support the implementation of entry-to-mid-level automation projects, including the configuration and troubleshooting of electrical controllers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).


Technical Collaboration: Partner with the KPO Supervisor to translate concepts into functional hardware; act as a technical liaison when working with external vendors to deliver specialized automation solutions.


Workshop Support: Assist the KPO team with the technical aspects of "Moonshine" projects, ensuring that electrical and mechanical components are integrated safely and accurately.


Documentation: Maintain technical files, design specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tooling and automation builds.

Qualifications/Requirements :
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).

• Intermediate knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, and PLC programming (Ladder Logic/Function Block Diagram/Structured Text).

• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
