Essential Responsibilities :
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Design & Engineering: Draft and maintain detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and single-line diagrams for custom tooling and workshop fixtures.
• EHS & Material Compliance: Ensure all materials, components, and design features utilized in shop-floor builds strictly adhere to site EHS policies and regulatory safety standards.
• Automation Support: Support the implementation of entry-to-mid-level automation projects, including the configuration and troubleshooting of electrical controllers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with the KPO Supervisor to translate concepts into functional hardware; act as a technical liaison when working with external vendors to deliver specialized automation solutions.
• Workshop Support: Assist the KPO team with the technical aspects of "Moonshine" projects, ensuring that electrical and mechanical components are integrated safely and accurately.
• Documentation: Maintain technical files, design specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all tooling and automation builds.
Qualifications/Requirements :
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Intermediate knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, and PLC programming (Ladder Logic/Function Block Diagram/Structured Text).
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
