Role Overview

The Supply Planner / Scheduler & Production Plant Coordinator will be responsible for executing end‑to‑end supply and production planning activities to ensure uninterrupted product availability, optimal inventory levels, and efficient plant operations. This role requires strong coordination skills, analytical abilities, and working knowledge of core supply chain principles. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, and Sales teams to deliver seamless operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, review, and adjust weekly/monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts, material availability, and plant capacity.

  • Monitor planned vs. actual production output and drive corrective actions for deviations.

  • Optimize inventory levels by balancing service levels, working capital, and production constraints.

  • Run MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of RM/PM.

  • Identify supply risks (capacity shortages, material delays, breakdowns) and initiate mitigation plans.

2. Production Coordination & Shopfloor Alignment

  • Act as the key coordination point between planning, production, maintenance, and quality teams.

  • Track daily production progress and ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and efficiency targets.

  • Facilitate daily/weekly plant meetings to align priorities and resolve bottlenecks.

  • Communicate schedule changes and operational updates to all stakeholders in real time.

3. Stakeholder Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with demand planning, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align supply plans with business requirements.

  • Provide supply status, production updates, shortages, and service risks to internal teams.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between regional supply chain teams and manufacturing units.

4. Inventory & Material Management

  • Monitor inventory health for raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished goods.

  • Ensure stock accuracy, timely replenishment, and minimize slow-moving or obsolete inventory.

  • Support cycle counts and reconciliation activities with warehouse teams.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production performance, supply adherence, and inventory KPIs.

  • Leverage SAP ERP (Must requirement)

  • Analyze supply chain metrics and recommend improvements to enhance service and reduce costs.

Requirement

  • Experience Required: 4–5 Years

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management and Engineering.

  • Certification in APICS/CPIM/CSCP is an advantage.

  • Working knowledge of supply chain planning processes and MRP.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or planning tools.

  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • Schedule adherence (Production plan vs. actual)

  • On-time, in-full (OTIF) service levels

  • Inventory accuracy and working capital targets

  • Material availability (RM/PM readiness)

  • Manufacturing plan stability (reduction in last-minute changes)

  • Downtime reduction through proactive coordination
