What You'll Work On
As a Material Control Supervisor (2nd Shift, Mon - Fri, 2:30p to 11:00p), you'll have the opportunity to lead, coach, and develop a team of Material Handlers to ensure production requirements are safely met. You'll lead efforts required to deliver all productivity performance metrics and understanding the productivity drivers that impact positive financial performance
Ensure compliance with all HR, Quality, and Safety policies and procedures through regular engagement and performance feedback
Provide support to manufacturing lines, distribution center and division partners
Ensure that all inbound and outbound goods are received or shipped appropriately and in a timely manner
Model and promote a thorough understanding of what drives product costs, profitability, and cash flow within the Material Operation, while operating within fiscal constraints, material utilization and CIP goals
Assure team members are trained and understand duties, responsibilities, and performance against established expectations
Track and monitor trending of KPI's, and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop strategic and tactical goals, identify root cause when problems arise, and regularly communicate to ensure alignment
Participate in team and department projects and execute assigned actions
You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of relevant leadership experience
General knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years of manufacturing experience in a regulated industry
Experience using project planning and execution tools
Microsoft Office computer skills
Experience working with and implementing Continuous Improvement projects
Knowledge of business and manufacturing principles, techniques and practices to give guidance to the Plant Material Control function
Knowledge and experience to handle projects and issues, and versed in methods to improve operational efficiencies

The base pay for this position is
$60,000.00 – $120,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
