We are looking for an Internal Medicine clinician to join our friendly and supportive team of six specialists and one discipline specific intern. This is a fixed term contract (six months). North Downs Specialist Referrals boasts a well-established multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with specialists in diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, cardiology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dentistry, dermatology, oncology and neurology.

To be considered for the role, candidates must:
 

  • Have experience of working independently and working well as part of a team
  • Be an MRCVS or FRCVS and hold a veterinary degree registrable with the RCVS
  • Be residency-trained
  • Be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

This is an exciting opportunity. North Downs Specialist Referrals is one of the longest-established multidisciplinary referral centres in the UK. The Internal Medicine department is fully equipped for all endoscopy procedures including flexible Olympus, rigid Storz and disposable Ambu systems. Imaging facilities include a dedicated advanced imaging suite with Canon Vantage Elan 1.5T MRI and Aquilion Lightning 16-slice CT, and Philips Epiq 5 Ultrasound, Affinity Ultrasound, BV Endura C arm and mobile digital radiography unit and a Sound C-series static digital radiography unit. All imaging modalities are linked to a Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). We also have a fully equipped in-house laboratory, and patient side monitoring.

Located in the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we enjoy living and working in a charming bucolic location. At the same time, we are only 30 minutes by train from central London and 20 minutes by car from Gatwick airport so extremely well-positioned for metropolitan life and international travel.
