Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Digital Production Designer with strong Figma skills to support the MazdaUSA.com team. This role is paramount during our AEM site transition, focusing on the precise preparation and management of digital assets and layouts. You will act as a vital link between our design and development teams, ensuring a seamless flow from established Figma designs to web-ready implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Preparation & Export: Efficiently export and prepare a wide range of digital assets (images, icons, graphics, etc.) from established Figma layouts, ensuring they meet technical specifications and optimization requirements for web implementation.
  • Figma Design System Application: Apply a basic yet solid understanding of Figma's design system principles, including Auto Layout, Components, and Variables, to maintain consistency, scalability, and efficiency in production workflows.
  • Developer Collaboration & Handoff: Work closely with the development team to facilitate smooth handoffs of assets and layouts. Address production-related queries, provide necessary updates, and ensure all deliverables are ready for integration into the AEM platform.
  • Layout Refinement: Execute minor layout adjustments and tweaks within Figma, primarily focusing on ensuring responsiveness and optimal display across various devices and screen sizes for existing modules and components.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough checks of exported assets and prepared layouts to ensure accuracy, adherence to brand guidelines, and readiness for development, minimizing rework.
  • Documentation: Assist in documenting asset specifications and production best practices to streamline future workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a digital production, web production, or similar role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Figma, with a demonstrated basic understanding and practical application of its design system features (Auto Layout, Components, Variables).
  • Experience with digital asset preparation, optimization, and management for web environments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between design and development teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with automotive brands or large-scale consumer websites.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS) to facilitate better communication and handoffs with developers.
  • A portfolio demonstrating digital asset preparation, Figma proficiency, and attention to detail.
