As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical expert supporting our sales team, helping potential customers understand how Numeric can solve their most complex accounting challenges. You’ll work closely with finance leaders, translating their pain points into tailored solutions while driving revenue growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working directly with customers, and shaping the sales strategy of an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform.
This is a 100% in-person role based in our offices in San Francisco or New York City.
Lead technical discovery – Partner with account executives to understand customer workflows, pain points, and technical requirements.
Deliver high-impact demos – Customize and present compelling product demonstrations tailored to each prospect’s needs.
Bridge sales and product – Capture customer feedback and work closely with engineering and product teams to inform roadmap priorities.
Develop technical sales collateral – Build documentation, FAQs, and guides to accelerate the sales cycle and improve the buyer experience.
Optimize the sales process – Identify and implement best practices to increase efficiency and deal velocity.
4+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Pre-Sales role at a B2B SaaS company.
Technical proficiency – Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and enterprise software. Experience with finance or accounting workflows is a plus.
Strong customer-facing skills – Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value.
Problem-solving mindset – You take an analytical approach to breaking down challenges and crafting tailored solutions.
Bias for action – You operate with urgency, iterate quickly, and thrive in fast-moving environments.
Collaboration and adaptability – You work well with sales, product, and engineering teams to drive impact.
Experience working with finance teams is a plus but not required—an eagerness to learn the space is essential.
