The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Director of Quality to lead the MCS segment’s quality strategy and ensure that our products, services, and operations meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role for an experienced quality executive who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.

What You’ll Do:

Quality Strategy & Governance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the MCS Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with enterprise and industry best practices.
  • Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product development to ensure best-in-class product quality.
  • Own segment-wide quality governance, risk management, and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits and drive timely resolution of non-conformances.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Quality, QA/QC, and Compliance teams across the segment.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Service, Customer Success, and Supply Chain to embed quality into daily operations and long-term strategy.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and customer-centric quality.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in process capability, product reliability, and field performance.
  • Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and enhance customer satisfaction.

Supplier & Customer Quality

  • Lead supplier quality programs, including audits, scorecards, and corrective action plans.
  • Partner with procurement and operations to strengthen supplier capability and mitigate risk.
  • Oversee customer quality initiatives, complaint resolution, and warranty performance improvements.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Define and monitor KPIs such as defect rates, first-pass yield, customer complaints, on-time delivery, and audit results.
  • Analyze data and provide actionable insights to executive leadership.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Quality, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive quality management experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership
  • Deep expertise in Quality Management Systems, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional leadership
  • Proven experience driving enterprise-level quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience in multi-site or global operations preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt, CMQ/OE, CQE, ISO Lead Auditor

Travel requirement:

  • Domestic and International travel up to 30%
