The Senior Manager, Supply Chain - Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring an optimized production manufacturing plan and uninterrupted material flow activities for the Phoenix manufacturing site and be part of the Supply Chain Management team. This position will lead a team of professional planners and buyers within the supply chain organization, working closely with other departments and key stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead the planning and buyer team in providing direction, support, guidance, influence and remove barriers.

  • Leverage insights and opportunities from liaising with key stakeholders to develop the master planning requirements for manufacturing, packaging and material supply.

  • Ensures accurate and timely transparent release of production schedules to key stakeholders.

  • Partner with demand planning and supply chain management teams to set long range SIOP forecasts to optimize production schedules, material supply.

  • Maintaining and reporting on Key Performance Indicators on Planning adherence, WIP monitoring, Work Center Utilization, PO’s past due, SKU Stock Outs, SIOP percentage accuracy.

  • Ensuring Root Cause Countermeasures enacted for significant KPI miss in a timely manner.

  • Supports inventory management control.

  • Reviews MRP requirements and available reports to determine material supply needs, and takes appropriate actions to meet those needs.

  • Partners with Sourcing team to align on purchasing phasing and optimum stock levels.

  • Maintains and supports cGMP documentation requirements.

Project and Change Management

  • Champions systems and systematic process improvements and initiatives.

  • Use data to develop initiatives to improve cycle time and material flow efficiencies.

  • Helps lead introduction of new product launches and/or special projects.

  • Responsible for quality record task completion and/or verification within Supply Management Department. Perform quality record impact assessment when required

  • Responsible for creation and/or revision of controlled documents related to their scope of activities (SOP, WP, LIST, etc.)

Quality and Continuous Improvement

  • Follow-up and define solutions for issues or deviations related to his/her scope of activities.

  • Develops team including self with individual/team development plans through to implementation.

  • Be accountable to execute activities as per GMP regulations and ensure timeliness for eQRMS record execution.

  • Propose process improvements ideas and guide them to realization, actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education of a High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Business Management/Business Administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant work experience required, preferably within a production or supply chain planning field.

  • Advanced knowledge of fundamental concepts of materials requirements, planning, and procurement including: inventory management, cycle counts, expediting, and order placement.

  • Advanced knowledge of the full range of concepts, practices in the materials planning field, including reorder point planning, contract communication/execution.

  • Familiar with project management tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Intermediate knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, USP, and EP.

  • Sound leader with the ability to lead a team, provide support, driving ownership and accountability, and ability to remove barriers to execution.

  • Capability to work in a changing environment and beyond pre-defined processes and to actively map workflow, define and implement new ways of working.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP/Oracle/Track-wise/PeopleSoft experienced preferred.

  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) ISM (Institute for Supply Management) certification preferred.
