Summary of Job Duties:
This Interventional Pain Clinic Radiology Technologist is responsible for c-arm guidance/imaging during interventional procedures in ambulatory procedural suites in a sterile environment. Interventional pain procedures and outpatient surgeries/procedures including but not limited to SCS trials, Kyphoplasties and Vertebroplasties. This position interacts with patients, physicians, healthcare staff, and many clerical staff members with in the department of Interventional pain.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma GED/Graduate of an approved Radiology Program- AART Registry or registry eligible.
- Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License or must be obtained prior to start date.
- CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than 1 year experience in a procedure suite setting using a C-Arm.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certification in Radiography (ARRT certification) or eligibility for certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to interventional radiology procedures.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting imaging equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
- Prepare the procedure room and imaging equipment, ensuring everything is sterile and functional.
- Assist in positioning the patient on the procedure table, taking into account the specific requirements of the procedure and imaging techniques.
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT scanners to capture high-quality images during procedures.
- Monitor images in real-time to ensure they meet diagnostic requirements and assist physicians in interpreting images as needed.
- Assist physicians and nurses during interventional procedures, including catheter placements, angiography, biopsies, and other minimally invasive treatments.
- Handle instruments, catheters, guidewires, and other equipment necessary for the procedure.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort levels throughout the procedure.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients during procedures, explaining the process and addressing their concerns.
