Position Requirements
Primary role responsibilities include:
- Deliver comprehensive system, role and orientation training for designated revenue cycle service and various corporate areas.
- Develop, modify, and facilitate instructor-led, online, and documentation-driven training for new hires, role transitions, continuing education, and targeted interventions within the designated revenue cycle functional area and other NAPA departments.
- Participate in cross training in other functional areas and provide support to areas as delegated by the RCM Director of Education.
- Conduct regular standardized quality assurance assessments for designated service area and work collaboratively with appropriate leadership in the review and analysis of quality assurance outcomes and productivity reporting to identify areas of interventional retraining and/or training content modifications.
- Participate in system testing and/or validation initiatives to ensure outcomes.
- Under the direction of the RCM Director of Education, participate in and/or stay informed of workflow optimization initiatives, ensuring appropriate incorporation of outcomes into training material/curriculum and effective distribution to impacted roles.
- Under the direction of the RCM Director of Education, maintain feedback loops for curriculum modification with operational leadership and internal to the RCM Training department. Through this communication, enable ongoing curriculum optimization within service area and across revenue cycle functional areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred
- 5+ years of revenue cycle experience preferred
- 2+ years of corporate training experience with adult learners preferred
- Familiar with the full spectrum of revenue cycle functions including document management, registration, charge entry, payor guidelines, billing and follow-up procedures, payment posting and other back-end responsibilities
- Confident and able to present information to front-line, mid-level, and executive staff
- Comfortable leading presentations and holding a leadership role
- Multitasking and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High capacity to identify, analyze, and develop solutions for inefficiencies in workflows
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The RCM Training Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive training on applications and workflows across revenue cycle service areas, focusing on the development, maintenance, and delivery of standardized curricula. This role ensures the effective use of multiple content delivery methods and quality assurance measures. Each specialist will be assigned to a specific functional area, becoming the primary educational resource while also cross-training in other functional areas to gain a holistic understanding of the revenue cycle.
In this role, the RCM Training Specialist plays a crucial part in communicating and reinforcing compliant and effective business practices, ensuring that revenue cycle staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet and exceed productivity and quality expectations. The goal is to improve staff job satisfaction, ensure timely and accurate reimbursement, and support the NAPA RCM strategic mission.
