About the role:

  • Improve and implement new processes to meet mission critical business objectives
  • Ensuring the continuous availability of application for FIS clients including deploying, upgrading, and maintaining the application environments.
  • Ensuring the support for the client from the start of the project till its completion at Go-live.
  • Both demand strong technical, analytical, and planning skills. Extremely effective communication skills are essential as this role is client facing.

About the team:  

  • FIS SWIFT Service Bureau (aka SSB) provides SWIFT connectivity to FIS’ clients. The team is responsible for new client onboarding, operations support and working on infrastructural projects. Also, responsible to monitor and support production applications to provide 99.9% uptime.

What you will be doing:

  • Govern the day-to-day operations of team activities
  • Manage ageing of the open tickets to ensure the ticket’s SLA is met
  • Ensure that application exceeds a 99.9% availability for the client, including proactively monitoring and preventative maintenance.
  • Reporting to the client on continuous monitoring of availability, attainment of SLAs, and Service Level Credits.
  • Respond to incidents raised by the client and/or FIS relating to the Application environments and ensure that SLAs are met.
  • Troubleshoot external/internal P1/P2 issues, coordinate with other stakeholders, identity root cause and provide RCA.
  • Certificate installation and management
  • Lead migration/upgrade projects related to application, operating system, network, and database.
  • Desing technical and functional solutions and help to implement as per line of business requirement.
  • Change coordinator with various FIS internal stakeholders to schedule and implement necessary changes.
  • Participate and lead internal and external audits.
  • Perform vulnerability remediation and its reporting/management.
  • Collaboratively develop policies, procedures, and reporting methods for Managed Services with the Application Support team.
  • Manage the processes required to maintain the client’s Production and test environments for Application, including deploying upgrades, hot-fix, and data-fix scripts.
  • Execute the scripts required to maintain the client’s environments.
  • Adhere to the policies, procedures and reporting for the SSB team.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to other members.
  • Maintain regular contact with the client including monthly reports and review meetings.
  • Liaise with the wider Client Services and infrastructure teams within FIS.
  • Maintain SSB's infrastructure inventory and documentation up-to-date.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Monitoring and governing day-to-day operations tasks
  • Good understanding of the client’s business, and the application
  • Knowledge of application’s operational processes, infrastructure, configuration, logging, troubleshooting, installation, interfaces, and processes
  • Mandatory knowledge of Linux, Shell scripting, Databases, public and private networks, and high availability architecture. 
  • Mandatory knowledge of Public, Private Networking
  • Strong deployment/implementation/Project management skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication with client and wider team (English must be very clear on the phone)
  • Able to establish a rapport with customer and colleagues.
  • Excellent time management and self-motivation, able to lead, direct and motivate others.
  • Able to evaluate and prioritize issues. Experience working with leadership team
  • Awareness of Change Management procedures and ITIL processes

Added bonus if you have:

  • Basic knowledge of SWIFT or payments domain.
  • Any deployment tool – Jenkins/Ansible
  • Any monitoring tool deployment – Xpolog/Nagios/Splunk
  • Linux System Administration and troubleshooting
  • ITIL /RHEL certified.
  • Knowledge around application security such as SSL, TLS
