The Quality Assurance Automation Lead 1 will be supporting the automation testing strategy for their platform. Assists with providing the automation direction and provides recommendations that support the integration of test automation into applications. This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining test automation into their platform and team, building relationships with critical parties and providing strategic test automation guidance to the team.

  • Works with the project teams on the automation needs of the product.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the automation testing strategy, training, reporting, governance, and execution.
  • Provides recommendations and guidance on how to enhance the automation utilized within the application.
  • Assists with building, architecting, and maintaining the RSM automation framework in coordination with the Automation COE.
  • Coordinates efforts with the necessary RSM resources to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Provides input on the latest in tools, methodologies, and strategies to maximize testing value and efficiencies.
  • Supports automation script development and the optimization of those scripts.
  • Understand products and is able to identify critical path testing from both a manual perspective & automation perspective.
  • Ensures the automation artifacts produced by the team follow the Automation COE standards and guidelines.
  • Mentor and train personnel on automation technical skills, methodologies, metric delivery, and RSM best practices that effectively test applications.
  • Ability to work with and lead onshore, co-sourced, and offshore resources.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related fields or similar work experience in a computer related field preference.

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Required)
  • Knowledgeable in automation tools, best practices and required skills (Required)
  • SME knowledge of AzureDevOps or other test planning and defect tracking tools (Preferred) 
  • Strong SDLC knowledge – Agile Scrum, BDD, Kanban (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of front end and back end automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress.io, JMeter, RestAssured, and other applicable tools (Required)
  • Experience with automation tool implementation (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more industry standard programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C# .Net, or other comparable languages (Required)
  • Accounting or Business background (Preferred)
  • Experience with utilizing automated or performance testing tools (Required)
  • Ability to assist individuals who seek out training or mentoring to improve technical and/or soft skills (Required)
  • Understand how automation integrates CI/CD pipelines (Required)

EXPERIENCE

(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Engineering and Testing field (Required)
  • Experience implementing test automation frameworks (Required) Experience implementing automated testing into CI/CD pipeline (Required)
  • Experience testing a variety of applications on assorted platforms (Required)
  • Experience with co-sourcing and working with offshore testing (Required)

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Experience with leading small project-based teams (Required)
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization (Required)
