As an LPN in Family Medicine, you will support multiple providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will perform clinical and administrative responsibilities, collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, and build meaningful relationships with patients across the lifespan. You'll have the opportunity to expand your nursing skills through hands-on experience, ongoing education, and professional development resources while making a lasting impact on the health and well-being of the community.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide professional nursing care to patients.
Administer medication.
Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
Follow Code Blue protocol.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of Accredited LPN program
Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Certification
Knowledge of infection control practices
Computer literacy
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of clinical experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Certification
IV certification
Manual blood pressure certification
Physical Requirements:
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
