Job Description: Sales Engineer – Data Center Sales (CFS)
Department: Data Center / Critical Facility Solutions (CFS)
Role Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven Sales Engineer – Data Center Sales (CFS) who will be responsible for selling data center solutions, infrastructure products, and critical facility systems to enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of data center environments and proven experience in solution selling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Data Centers, CFS, and critical infrastructure solutions.
- Engage with enterprise clients, consultants, OEM partners, and system integrators.
- Manage end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation → requirement analysis → solution design → proposal → negotiation → closure.
2. Technical Solution Designing
- Understand customer requirements related to power, cooling, racks, security, and facility operations.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, BOQs, solution documents, and commercial offers.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams for customized data center solutions.
3. Client Interaction & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, IT Heads, Facility Managers, consultants, and procurement teams.
- Conduct product demos, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
4. Market Research & Strategy
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer buying behavior.
- Identify growth opportunities in Data Center Infrastructure, UPS, PAC, Precision Cooling, Fire Safety, Access Control, and Monitoring Systems.
- Contribute to sales planning and forecasting.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Data Center components:
- UPS / Power Distribution Units
- PAC / Precision Cooling
- Racks & Cabling
- CFS – Critical Facility Systems
- Access Control, CCTV, Fire Suppression
- Monitoring & Control Systems
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into business value.
- Experience in handling enterprise/B2B clients.
- Strong proficiency in preparing proposals, tenders, and RFP responses.
Experience Required
- 3–8 years of experience in:
- Data Center Sales
- CFS / Critical Infra Sales
- IBMS / ELV Solutions
- Enterprise IT Infra Sales
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in:
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Mechanical
- IT / Computer Science
- MBA in Marketing (preferred but not mandatory)
