JOB DESCRIPTION

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning and AI models and services in Python.
• Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines for training, inference, and monitoring.
• Define technical standards, best practices, and patterns for machine learning and artificial intelligence development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, data science, and data engineering teams.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code deployment
• Review and guide code contributions from other engineers to maintain quality and consistency.
• Contribute to backend systems development
• Ensure backend and ML systems meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Mentor and guide engineers on ML engineering best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and processes to improve development and runtime efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 10+ years of industry experience in Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or highly-related field.
• Extensive experience in Python-based ML engineering and backend development.
• Proven leadership in building, testing, and deploying ML models to production at scale.
• Strong knowledge of ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) and MLOps tools.
• Ability to deep dive into individual components and systems, as well as understand the overall architecture of machine learning solutions.
• Expertise in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.) and container orchestration.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, streaming, and storage systems.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
