Why is the Regional Finance Expert role important at Infobip?

You will be a key member of the North America Finance team and split half your time between Accounting & Finance functions and the other half utilizing your expertise on sales taxes and managing our Infobip client invoices. This role has the potential to grow in the future – with an opportunity to coordinate a small team of Finance employees. 

In this role, you will:

  • Be a critical part of researching changes in local, state, and regional tax regulations and involving Accounting and Legal teams as necessary.

  • Identify sales tax exemptions and advise on how to apply it in our current billing & invoicing process.

  • Research and monitor sales tax legislations to develop internal sales tax procedures for regional teams.

  • Interact with various teams both regionally and globally – Tax, Accounting, Shared Services, Finance Operations, and other departments.

  • Work closely with the Head of Finance for the Americas to ensure smooth operations of all financial matters as it relates to the North American region.

  • Supervise and/or perform the creation of financial statements and reports, prepare spreadsheets, monitor revenues & expenditures, and watching accounts with open business liabilities and receivables.

  • Monitor and manage document entries and invoices in accounting system & reporting program.

  • Process vendor invoices and credit card transactions.

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

  • Provide expert and consulting knowledge to junior-level employees.

  • Collaborate with Finance leaders on the department’s annual work plan.

  • Implement and monitor sales taxes – ensuring that they are compliant with local legislation.

  • Resolve disputes and inquiries from other departments.

  • Support departmental associates with accurate reconciliations and reporting.

  • Lead and/or participate in major departmental projects and collaborate in multifunctional teams in the spirit of enhancing quality of work, improving processes, and launching initiatives.

  • Are passionate about using your experience and expertise to inspire and motivate the team you work with.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics required.

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar position as a Finance expert.

  • Minimum 4 years working knowledge of U.S. State taxes.

  • Minimum 3 years of Accounting & Finance experience.

  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and exceptional attention to detail. 

  • Strong organizational, verbal / written communication, and time management skills a must.

  • Advanced use of Excel and knowledge of MS Dynamics, PowerBI, and other accounting software/tools.

  • The ability to collaborate across multiple business teams as well as having autonomy to handle complex tasks. 

  • Enjoys being a team player working on a small, dynamic, agile team that supports and fosters learning & growth.

  • Experience managing stakeholders and possessing innate leadership abilities highly desired.

  • Salary Range – Base salary of $120,000-$160,000 annually with eligibility for an annual bonus at Infobip’s sole discretion. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, job-related knowledge, experience, education, and skillset.
