Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Join Walmart’s U.S. Consumer Protection Compliance team as a Senior Manager focusing on product and packaging claim compliance. As a critical team member, you will be responsible for building trust with our customers by helping to shape, enhance, and implement controls designed to ensure compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations, including Section 5 of the FTC Act and state unfair and deceptive acts and practice (UDAP) laws. This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with legal, policy and business stakeholders as well as other areas within compliance to implement programs that minimize regulatory risk around product claims.

What you’ll do:

  • Effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish best-in-class compliance programs for claim substantiation in various product categories.

  • Develop and maintain program documentation.

  • Work with product and technology teams to implement automated controls related to product claim substantiation.

  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with claim substantiation requirements.

  • Develop training and awareness content to further compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Coordinate efforts to understand emerging regulatory risks and developing guidance and processes with relevant stakeholders to mitigate identified risks.

  • Escalate concerns based on risk to the company and recommending a plan of action for resolution and risk mitigation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Project Management - Project Management Professional – Certification (preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication.  Advanced degree in Business Administration (preferred)

  • Experience working in compliance and/or acting as a subject matter expert in federal or state consumer protection law

  • Strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment and establishing collaborative relationships with business, legal, and compliance partners

  • You are action-oriented, resourceful, and approachable while also having the ability to influence and lead change

  • You are organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • You are a problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
