Job Description

The Trade Services Rep provides end-to-end trade support and exception management for the U.S. Bancorp Asset Management (“USBAM”) trading desks. Interfaces with internal and external business teams to identify root cause of exceptions. Responsible for asset setup and maintenance of security master file information within USBAM trading platform and accounting systems. Work closely with portfolio compliance group to address and resolve changing data needs due to new client/industry regulation guidelines. Responsible for daily monitoring and research of securities valuation. Primary resource for internal partners and external vendors for post-trade processing and asset maintenance responsibilities. The Trade Services Rep is also responsible for ensuring accurate election and processing of corporate actions as well as active participation systems upgrade projects. Supports internal operational teams with knowledge of trade activity, failed trades, and overdraft situations. Follows strict internal guidelines to mitigate processing errors, and trade order errors as these may result in a monetary risk and/or reputation risk to the bank.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
OR
  • Two to three years of related industry or function experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Possess a working knowledge of fixed income investment securities and related securities processing (trade operations, corporate actions, securities lending, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, various products, and/or services supported by the assigned area(s).
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and meet established deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and extremely thorough.
  • Ensure work processes are completed in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications and Bloomberg.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while mitigating risk. 

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $24.18 - $32.21 - $35.43
