Job Summary:


The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Trainee will be responsible for successfully completing a CNA training program with a Wellstar academic partner or through a Wellstar training program.

The CNA Trainee will receive training through classroom (virtual and/or in person) and clinical sessions that will develop skills in communication, interpersonal skills, infection control, safety, promoting independence, resident and/or patient rights, taking and recording vital signs, caring for resident's and/or patient's environment, recognizing and reporting abnormal changes in the body functions, personal care skills, mental health and social needs, and restorative nursing skills.

Upon successful completion of this program, the CNA Trainee will be prepared to successfully pass the Georgia State Board of Nursing Certification Exam.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


Responsible for attending required classes, completing course work in a timely manner and remaining engaged for duration of the CNA Trainee program.

Required Minimum Education:


Rising High School Junior or Senior Required or
High school diploma Preferred or
GED Preferred

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):


Basic Life Support / American Heart Association
