Job Description Summary:

Basic Function

Provide guidance to comply with the activities related to the utilities and maintenance of auxiliary equipment. Ensure that all processes are in accordance with established procedures. Maintains excellent communications at all levels.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Develops inspection methods, analysis, and evaluations to ensure the continuous operation of the utilities and identifies areas to improve operational efficiency.

  • Responsible for the compliance with all local and federal laws and regulations applicable to the operation of the utilities and which are enforced by OSHA, EQB, EPA, PRASA, etc.

  • Responsible for all KORE  (TCCC requirements) for utilities

  • Coordinates and manage the operation and maintenance of the Process Water Treatment Plant, the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

  • Facilitates activities to maintain a clean and ordered work place in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Responsible for writing and revision of the operational procedures within area of responsibility.

  • Identify and close the capability gaps in order to drive sustainable business results.  Looking at all aspects of capability building, including people, work processes, systems, and work environment within area of responsibility.

  • Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility for successfully accomplishing work objectives and delivering business results; focusing and guiding others in achieving business results.

  • Planning and supporting the contributions of individuals and the development of their skills and abilities so that they can fulfill current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively.

  • Coordinate the design, procurement, construction of the Utilities Projects.

  • Responsible for the Business Recovery Plant- Plant Utilities.

  • Ensure that the environmental considerations, legal and corporate requirements and efficiency indicators are included in new project design and project evaluation, in order to maximize the cost/benefit ratio and minimize the environmental impacts.

  • Responsible to comply with all Internal Control requirements in own department and CRI as applicable.

  • Maintain current  knowledge of  the potential environmental aspects of  new projects,  ass per Environmental and Management of Change program requirements.

  • Participate and promote activities toward continuous improvement. Using Lean Six Sigma tools for problem Solving .

Requirements

Education:    

Bachelor Degree in Engineering,

Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Memberships:

Active Engineering License in Puerto Rico
