Are you passionate about data and financial modeling, with a keen interest in uncovering insights that drive strategic decision-making?  We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Financial Analyst to spearhead our transition towards enhanced financial performance and strategic decision-making within Saxo.

The Team and Responsibilities

You will be part of the Group Revenue Management Team in Group Finance & Legal. The team is responsible for

  • Develop and maintain Saxo’s internal performance measures used for decision-making and revenue sharing solutions with internal and external partners
  • Report and explain daily and monthly revenue to provide insights into financial performance
  • Prepare detailed revenue reports and presentations for board, execution team and Chief Financial Officers (CFO’s)
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of revenue numbers by conducting thorough analyses and reconciliations
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in revenue figures and work with relevant teams in Markets and Operations to resolve them promptly
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, with a particular focus on supporting IT teams, to ensure successful project execution and seamless integration into existing systems
  • Contribute to Global Saxo's strategic projects, such implementing new financial products or new partnerships, to support business growth and innovation

As an integral part of our team, you will play a leading role in a period of transformation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the explanation and validation of trade revenue. This will involve leveraging the latest technology and modeling techniques to ensure that our revenue data is both accurate and insightful. By applying cutting-edge tools and methodologies, you will help drive our understanding of trade revenue, enabling more informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Your Profile

  • Experience: You should have at least 8+ years of experience in financial or risk modeling and reporting, preferably within the financial sector
  • Coaching and Mentoring: You are committed to coaching and mentoring colleagues, sharing your expertise, and fostering a collaborative learning environment
  • Change Initiatives: You have experience in driving change initiatives, leveraging your skills and insights to implement improvements and innovations
  • Education: A master’s degree in finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering with a strong mathematical focus is required
  • Personal Attributes: As a person, you are curious, eager to learn, and interested in working with financial products and insights. Your inquisitive nature will drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You have the ability to work systematically and tackle complex problems, transforming intricate data and analyses into clear, easily understandable insights. This skill is crucial for effective communication and decision-making
  • Financial Knowledge: You possess a solid understanding of financial products and financial modeling techniques, which will be essential in your role
  • Technical Skills: You have good knowledge and experience working with standard programming tools such as Python, SQL, VBA, R, and SAS. Proficiency in these tools will enable you to efficiently analyze and model financial data
