Process Engineer I

Confluent Medical is urgently looking for a Process Engineer I to join our team. You may be who we are looking for!  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support to ensure tracking of internal KPI's
  • Improving processes in our Wire manufacturing cell
  • Interface with internal program managers and external customers to understand a comprehensive knowledge of new products and to address quality issues
  • Work with Engineering Technicians and production personnel to optimize and streamline manufacturing processes within a LEAN manufacturing environment
  • Learn and support the operational aspects of new and existing equipment
  • Partner with other Engineers to develop strategic processing goals and objectives and integrate processes into value streams.
  • Develop an expertise in nitinol materials processing
  • Follow health, safety and environmental programs for preventative maintenance. Adhere to safety protocols and ensuring that all hazards are properly managed

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years of related engineering experience. A Master's degree in an applicable field of study would be an asset.
  • Must be capable of performing under the pressure of multiple competing deadlines while maintaining a cooperative and constructive, working relationships with colleagues.
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and creative/innovative thinking
  • Ability and desire to be hands-on
  • Must be capable of applying good manufacturing principles during developmental phase in anticipation of production volumes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, must be capable of communicating clearly and efficiently in a highly technical manufacturing environment
  • Experience with nitinol processing and relevant equipment a plus
  • Minitab and Design of Experiments experience is a plus
