Job Description:

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Social Marketing & Strategy to lead social strategy across key clients, with a strong focus on campaign-driven work within Integrated Agency Teams (IATs). This role is responsible for translating brand and paid campaigns into effective, culturally relevant, social-first ideas and executions—not just always-on content.

You’ll play a key role in making integrated campaigns work on social, acting as a confident and credible voice in cross-functional settings. This includes pushing recommendations, engaging in thoughtful debate, and influencing decisions—while maintaining strong relationships and reading the room.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the social workstream within IATs, ensuring integrated campaigns translate into strong social executions

  • Develop and optimize social strategies aligned to campaign objectives and KPIs

  • Partner closely with other IATs, as well as internal Account, Creative, Paid Media, and Influencer teams to deliver cohesive work

  • Advocate for social best practices and push work forward with confidence and clarity

  • Act as an authoritative voice in meetings, comfortable operating “toe-to-toe” with stakeholders

  • Balance conviction with diplomacy, and able to challenge thinking without being overly bullish

  • Apply strong strategic thinking grounded in human behavior, culture, and platform dynamics

  • Ensure your POV is heard while building trust and strong cross-functional partnerships

  • Brief creators and guide content development to deliver high-quality, insight-driven work

  • Use performance data and social analytics to inform optimization and creative direction

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders, adapting style to the room

  • Foster collaboration across teams with a people-first mindset

  • Navigate competing priorities, personalities, and evolving demands effectively

  • Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment with frequent status updates

  • Stay adaptable and resilient as priorities shift and new challenges emerge

  • Manage and mentor Social Strategists and Managers, elevating team output and growth

Qualifications

  • 7–9+ years in social marketing

  • Prior experience working within Integrated Agency Teams (IATs)

  • Strong background in owned, earned, and organic social (required)

  • Experience translating brand and paid campaigns into social-first content
