Position Summary

As part of the Check Services unit of the Federal Tax Reporting, Escheat and Check Services team, this position will be primarily responsible for our check forgery banking process.

A Brief Overview

Our unit supports Check Services, Escheat/Unclaimed Property, SI Plan Sponsor Escheat,  Federal Tax reporting of provider 1099M, PR 4806SP and Bnotices for CRS (ACAS/GIAS, HRP) and HMOe legacy payments under Banking Funding and Reporting team.

This position’s primary support will be within the Check Services team, however, we work collaboratively and will provide support as needed for the other functions as well.

Under the Check Services team, this role will work collaboratively with customer service and SIU to obtain the appropriate documents to resolve payees with forged checks. 


What you will do

  • Obtain notarized documents from payees for forged checks to include in bank packages for submission to issuing banks

  • Track and follow up of cases to ensure bank credits are received timely. 

  • Coordinate submission to repay payees once the bank returns the funds and maintain contact with the payee on the status of the repayment. 

  • Process denials and/or submit appeals as needed. 

  • Track and process unsolicited bank credits for ACAS and HRP check payments as received. 

  • Research the reasons for the bank return and submit requests for repayments where applicable.

  • Support the accounting team by submitting credits received from forgery and unsolicited bank credits on a monthly basis. 

  • Reconcile and track missing bank credit transmittals as reported by accounting and resolve when the bank provides the credit transmittals.

  • Provide back up support for daily Reverse Positive Pay banking as needed.

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.  
  • Multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently
  • Understand and initiate ideas for the development of technical policies and procedures of own unit in the performance of specific job functions
  • Maintain strong collaborative relationship with customers and internal business partners to maintain a high performance culture
  • Provide professional, prompt, and accurate service to all internal and external clients.


Required Qualifications

·       2-4 years work experience

·       Strong problem solving and decision making skills


Preferred Qualifications

·       Banking, treasury, accounts payable, SIU, tax and/or finance experience

·       Excel and Access proficiency

·       CRS, EPDB, HRP, GPS experience preferred


Education

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.80

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
