Position Description:
Responsible for managing the self-directed alternatives offerings, vision, strategy, and roadmap for the brokerage business. Performs in-depth research on alternative investment strategies, market trends, and economic indicators to identify potential investment product opportunities. Manages a portfolio of alternative investments, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and other non-traditional assets. Analyzes risk associated with alternative investments, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. Executes trading strategies for alternative investments, works closely with traders and portfolio managers. Creates financial models to evaluate the performance and potential of alternative investments, including cash flow analysis, valuation models, and scenario analysis. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including SEC rules and internal company policies. Manages a team of alternatives strategists that assist with roadmap and feature design, business planning and strategy, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Vice President, Product Management (or closely related occupation) conducting diligence on or building alternative investment strategies in an asset management, brokerage, investment platform, or service provider environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Vice President, Product Management (or closely related occupation) conducting diligence on or building alternative investment strategies in an asset management, brokerage, investment platform, or service provider environment.
