Job Description:

At DXC Technology Polska, we are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to strengthen our German-speaking Java team, working mainly from Wrocław, in a flexible hybrid working model.

This role focuses on complex public sector projects, where you will take a leading technical role in designing, implementing, and evolving mission-critical software systems. You will work closely with international development teams and act as a key technical partner for customer architects, contributing to long-term, scalable software architectures.

German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level is required, along with strong English skills.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading the implementation of complex requirements using Java and modern frameworks
  • Designing and evaluating technical solution concepts based on deep understanding of customer architectures
  • Acting as a technical counterpart to customer architects and supporting architectural decisions
  • Ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural guidelines
  • Creating and reviewing technical documentation, specifications, and code documentation in German and English
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced developers, when required

Required skills and experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a Java Developer, including work on complex enterprise systems
  • Strong expertise in Java, JUnit, Git, relational databases, and modern web technologies
  • In-depth experience with JEE-based architectures and frameworks such as Hibernate, JSF, PrimeFaces, React, Angular, JavaFX
  • Proven experience in software architecture and technical design
  • Experience working in agile development environments
  • German (minimum B2) and very good English skills

Nice to have (but not required)

  • Strong knowledge of security, cryptography, authentication/authorization, MFA, eID solutions (Keycloak, eIDAS, LDAP)
  • Advanced experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, SonarQube)
  • API design and automated testing strategies, including mockups and simulators
  • Experience leading or contributing to data migration projects
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages and paradigms
  • Advanced automated testing experience (Selenium, Jira XRay)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Proven experience working with public sector institutions or government authorities
  • Relevant certifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another relevant field or
  • Equivalent professional experience and practical qualifications
