Job includes two components:

1. Sales

2. Project management

1 Sales:

  • Contact for customers and trading companies.
  • Customer relationship management (visits, phone, online, etc.).
  • Reception and first review of inquiries.
  • Manage and support technical and process workout for quotation.
  • Issue quotation and follow-up.
  • Participation in technical and commercial clarification as well as contract negotiations.
  • Take part in strategy definition for projects.
  • Add knowledge about local requirements and regulations.
  • Inquiries to local suppliers.
  • Market and competitors analysis.
  • Reporting and cooperating to/with team lead and sales departments at HQ.

2 Project management:

  • Analyze detailed project specification regarding technical, quality, and commercial requirements.
  • Technical clarification with customers, HQs and local vendors based on Coperion and contract specifications.
  • Manage project execution at Coperion Japan.
  • Support co-ordination during site erection and start-up.
  • Close cooperation with HQs during project execution (from order intake to start-up).
  • Logistics support, e.g. for customs clearance, expediting of late deliveries, etc.
  • Reporting to PM at HQ.

Qualification

  • Engineering Degree in mechanical-, process- or electrical engineering.
  • 3+ years working experience in equivalent employment (e.g. sales of machinery).
  • Experience in polymer or battery industry market environment preferred.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project.

  • Good technical and process understanding.
  • Commercial understanding and business management are mandatory.
  • Passionate sales, acting proactive.
  • Knowledge of Japanese business practices and specific local requirements.
  • Good analytical skills and goal-oriented work style.
  • Professional attitude, highly motivated, well organized, able to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communicative skills.
  • Being a team player is mandatory.
  • Open to the intracultural and cross-cultural environment.
  • Fluent Japanese and English in writing and speaking.
  • Open to travel (mainly domestic).
