Role Responsibilities:
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:
Driving Data Science initiatives within FP&A, including strategy reviews, best practice sharing, and identifying gaps in current ML processes.
Designing, developing, and deploying predictive models and AI-driven solutions.
Leading training, mentoring, and capability-building activities for the data science community.
Evaluating and optimizing data-driven products and improving model performance.
Leading large cross-functional projects from concept to implementation.
Partnering with engineers and other data scientists to integrate models into production systems.
Designing and deploying data-driven solutions that enable improved business outcomes.
Staying up to date with advancements in data science to continuously enhance capabilities.
Coordinating with service providers and external resources for ML/AI solutions.
Leading participation in the Data Science Community of Practice.
Ensuring alignment of data science initiatives with broader organizational goals.
Collecting, cleansing, and validating data from complex data sources for analytical modeling.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with a strong background in advanced analytics, machine learning, and business-focused data science.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in a data science–related field, with advanced academic achievements (Master’s or Ph.D.) considered a strong advantage.
5–7+ years of hands‑on experience driving end‑to‑end data science solutions.
Demonstrated success in building, deploying, and scaling machine learning models in real business environments.
Deep expertise in ETL, data integration, and transforming large, complex datasets into actionable insights.
Strong command of Python, R, SQL, SPSS, IBM CPLEX, and modern statistical techniques.
Proven experience with leading cloud and big‑data ecosystems (Databricks, Azure, Spark, SAP R4 / 4HANA, IBM Planning Analytics).
Experience applying GenAI and advanced analytics to solve high‑impact business challenges.
Skilled in data visualization and storytelling using Tableau and Power BI.
Comfortable partnering with diverse business stakeholders and navigating cross‑functional processes.
Preferred: exposure to manufacturing environments and familiarity with core financial concepts.
Experience working in agile environments and using modern project‑management tools.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas.
Strong analytical mindset and creativity, able to translate ambiguity into structured solutions.
Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and developing talent.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, reliable outcomes.
