Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector will work under supervision to perform various functions required to verify the condition of a wide variety of materials, components and assemblies. Work instructions will be both written and verbal, utilizing drawings, procedures and/or sketches.

Your Challenge

  • Make decisions involving initiative and judgment to perform a wide variety of tasks in support of the primary purpose, including, but not limited to;

  • Inspect -- Verify and document the condition of a wide variety of materials, components and assemblies, including identification, documentation, physical attributes, dimensional checks, etc. as required. Complete appropriate documentation.

  • Record -- Complete Rejection/Non-Conforming Q.C. forms when required, etc.

  • Ship -- Perform and complete final tagging requirements and forms.

  • Maintain inspection equipment -- cage calibration, controls and records, etc.

  • Plan and perform all required inspections and operations utilizing various equipment including, but not limited to:

  • Mechanical Equipment -- Micrometers, Verniers, Hardness Tester, etc.

  • Electrical Equipment -- Pneumo-centric, Niton Alloy Identification Analyzer, Hardness Tester, etc.

  • Maintain appropriate level of NDE qualification

  • Operate all material handling equipment within facility to position and transport work to or from work areas.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a machine shop environment

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/mechanical drawings

  • Understanding of geometric tolerance

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
