As a private banker, you act as a professional advisor providing a superior member/client experience to Desjardins Wealth Management's high-net-worth households by meeting their financing, cash management and day-to-day banking needs. You attract high-net-worth households and develop a long-term relationship with this clientele. To do so, you work together with wealth managers to ensure high-level relationship management through a personalized and distinctive approach in compliance with the standards for first-rate service, proactive contacts and support in their projects and life events. You maintain ongoing communication and meticulously follow up with wealth managers and Business Services account managers to identify member/client needs, and thus actively participate in the growth of existing relationships and the development of new business relationships. Your role is to provide a high-end integrated offering for clients with complex and specialized needs and recommend innovative and customized strategies and solutions to meet member/client needs. You are responsible for the banking portfolio of members and clients, which includes financing, debt management, transaction accounts, prestige credit cards, personalized banking packages, investments, and current and protective financial solutions. As an expert in banking solutions, and more specifically, complex financing, you negotiate the terms and conditions of authorized credit, ensuring that they meet the risk management standards and profitability criteria sought and the satisfaction of members, clients and partners. More specifically, you will be required to:
Ensure relationship management and first-rate proactive advice to high-net-worth households that exceed their immediate needs
Focus on members and clients by working closely with wealth managers and other Desjardins partners to support their goals through a comprehensive wealth management strategy
Develop long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients by fully understanding their situation and by meeting all their banking and financing needs
Structure complex financing requests by interpreting financial data through sophisticated analysis and submit financing and credit renewal requests
Negotiate credit terms and conditions in compliance with risk management standards and profitability criteria
Be able to identify the risks inherent to the Wealth Management sector's activities
Contribute to Desjardins business development objectives by ensuring the repatriation and development of business with high-net-worth clients and their families
Be familiar with the digital solutions offered by Desjardins and encourage members and clients to use them by providing them with information and assistance
Resolve member/client problems to their complete satisfaction
Stay on top of the latest products, services and standards in your field.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in finance or in a related field
A minimum of nine years of relevant experience
, including four to six years of relevant experience in corporate financial consulting (commercial credit)
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Mutual Fund Representative (MFR) license
Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
Professional designations including CFA, CPA, MBA, LL. B., FEA
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Candidate must be available to travel within GTA, surrounding areas and other regions within Ontario
Candidate must have a G driver's license
