Senior Manager, Automation Engineering, IT Cell Therapy Development

We are seeking a skilled senior Lab/Data Automation Engineer to join the Cell Therapy Development (CTD) IT team.  In addition to having IT accountability for automation engineering and support across CTD, this role will also be IT Lead for all IT matters at the Summit S6A building and for the CTD staff based there.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with CTD stakeholders and implementation partner(s) to enable and optimize current and future MES/automation systems supporting Cell Therapy Development.
  • In partnership with CTD stakeholders, help develop and realize a current state/future state MES/automation roadmap and support model, helping build a core competency within the CTD IT team.
  • Support daily operation and future enhancements of CTD automation systems as an IT system owner and technical expert, effectively working across multiple CTD sites and systems.
  • Support the CTD team based at Summit S6A building, acting as a single point-of-contact for all digital IT work.
  • Support integration initiatives between CTD site automation systems and above-site, enterprise systems, e.g. LIMS, ERP, etc.
  • Demonstrate expertise in programming/implementing automated laboratory equipment, automated data acquisition/analysis.
  • Demonstrate effective skills in contributing to cross functional teams, with strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 7+ years in laboratory automation or data automation
  • 4+ years managing direct reports or teams
  • Experience programming/implementing automated laboratory equipment, automated data acquisition/analysis
  • Experience qualifying and providing long-term improvements for automated systems
  • Experience contributing to cross functional teams
  • Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Hands on development experience with .Net, C#, NuGet, Oracle, MySQL, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Full Stack Development of automation tools
