Are you passionate about customer service, love the snow and enjoy assisting people every day? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our Ski Valet role! We’re looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to assist guests with their skiing (and other winter sports) adventures. You'll ensure they have the equipment they need for a fun day on the slopes, answer inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for everyone you interact with. You'll also work with our Front Desk Services team on group arrivals, answering phones and everything needed to ensure our guests feel at home. 

This is a seasonal position. Employment dates begin as soon as 11/24/24 and work through end of season on or around 4/26/25. As a part-time, seasonal position, exact schedule and hours are varied based on the needs of the business and may fluctuate from one week to the next.

Compensation

  • $20 / hour. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.

What you’ll do

  • Unlock the ski rack and be ready to assist owners and guests with loading and unloading of skies to and from shuttles
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of safety and emergency procedures as they relate to the safety of owners, guests, and the property
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the town and surrounding areas, events, activities, restaurants, road directions, transportation options to the property, pick up place and schedule of City bus and shuttles
  • Work closely with the Front Office Manager for group arrivals, clubhouse set up and breakdown
  • Assist Front Office with any needs (answer phone calls, answer general guest questions, drive guests upon request, help deliver donations and recycling)
  • Develop a basic working knowledge of the phone system and company radio using proper telephone and radio etiquette
  • Maintain cleanliness of the property (Front Office area, clubhouse, bathrooms, patrol the property for trash, and collect trash bags from all areas)
  • Check and refill supplies (coffee supplies, doughnuts, put out cookies & cider in season, bathrooms, towels and spa cups)
  • Be familiar with the weekly work schedule and aware that it may change at times depending on occupancy to accommodate business demands
  • Other tasks as needed - because every day looks different in hospitality!

The skills you’ll need and position requirements 

  • 1 year of ski valet / bell attendant experience in a hospitality/hotel environment preferred
  • 1 year of customer service experience in service or retail environment preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
