Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$101,200.00 - $167,000.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Make trade recommendations with respect to fixed income securities based on analysis of issuer/servicer credit fundamentals and, if appropriate, analysis of cash flow characteristics of transaction. Monitor assigned credits and securities and function as a source of expertise in assigned asset classes and industries. Provide general financial analysis and quantitative analysis support, as directed, including projects and responsibilities that lie outside the primary investment areas of responsibility.

What Will You Do?

  • Evaluate new investment opportunities and existing holdings within assigned industry sectors through credit, cash flow and transaction analysis.
  • Base recommendations on evaluation of credit, structural and liquidity risk elements in context of corporate investment objectives.
  • Prepare and communicate credible risk/reward assessments independent of external opinions.
  • Identify key factors driving credit outlook.
  • Understand and incorporate valuation into trade recommendation process, in context of comparable credit valuations, on an option adjusted basis, if applicable.
  • Build and maintain sector, asset class and collateral expertise as it relates to assigned sectors and asset classes.
  • Have solid working knowledge of industry/asset class/collateral and commonly utilized performance metrics pertaining thereto as well as historical and current political, regulatory, and legal environment factors impacting outlook.
  • Be knowledgeable about current primary sector participants and evolution of these participants.
  • Incorporate industry factors in credit specific analysis process.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with outside analysts, bond dealers, issuers and others to assure an adequate supply of timely investment information and opportunities.
  • Utilize fixed income analytic systems to evaluate cash flows, duration and convexity of option-embedded securities.
  • Develop and maintain adequate sources of information on which to base analysis and recommendations.
  • Develop good working relationships with outside analysts, bond dealers, and other personnel as appropriate to assure an adequate supply of timely investment information and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain files containing all pertinent information and written material on held securities.
  • Develop and maintain adequate documentation in support of recommendations made.
  • Identify on an on-going basis the problems, issues and decisions where the use of computer models, analytical tools, and decision-aids can bring value-added to the management of fixed income investments.
  • Design, develop and maintain proprietary models and tools, and interpret and utilize nonproprietary models, analytical tools, and decision-aids to support credit and sector analysis.
  • Develop and maintain adequate documentation in support of recommendations made.
  • Backup analytical staff outside the primary areas of investment responsibility as dictated by workload or training considerations.
  • Provide general financial analysis and quantitative analysis support, as directed, including projects & responsibilities that lie outside the incumbent's primary investment areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What is a Must Have?

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • 2 - 5 years prior work experience

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Credit related work experience
  • GPA of 3.25 or better
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
