Job Description Summary

Maximize insurance claims revenue through the collections process, following up on claims submissions, and issue resolution to prevent future denials. Monitor and collect on outstanding insurance claim balances. Identify trends in denials and partner with internal service and revenue cycle teams to resolve.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, work, and report on all insurance claims that have aged beyond the contractual grace period. Provide regular updates to management.

  • Monitor outstanding account balances for determination of necessary collection steps or escalation.

  • Requests and completes insurance claim adjustments as appropriate based on the dollar amount threshold of the adjustment

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, including: revenue cycle and service departments, physicians’ offices, and other referral sources

  • Identify and report trends in denied claims to prevent future denials.

  • Develop collection methods that consistently lead to achieve or exceeding Company financial goals.

  • Communicate any potential problem accounts to the respective member of management

Required Experience:

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Bilingual candidate needed (English/French)

  • At least 4 years’ experience in A/R within medical insurance

  • Experience prioritizing workload and scheduling effectively in order to meet deadlines

  • Intermediate understanding of EOB (Explanation of Benefits), Managed Care Contract Language

  • Intermediate understanding of ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT coding and medical terminology

  • Technology/Equipment Experience

  • Intermediate level skill in MS Office

  • 10 key proficiency

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$43,800.00 - $65,800.00 Annual
