We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team in Lithuania. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement robust Warehouse Control Systems within SAP WM/EWM using ABAP/OO. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into detailed technical solutions, delivering high-quality code, and following established best practices. The role includes hands-on development, comprehensive testing, participation in commissioning activities, and close collaboration with project teams and customers to deliver efficient and innovative solutions. The monthly pay range for this role is estimated to be €3000-4300 gross (final compensation will be determined based on your competencies and experience).

Tasks and Qualifications:

What will you do in this role?              

  • Design and develop high-quality SAP solutions using ABAP and object-oriented programming within SAP EWM/WM environments, following established development standards and best practices.
  • Translate business requirements and customer specifications into clear technical designs, scalable implementations, and well-structured documentation, including technical specifications and change requests.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to integrate software components and ensure seamless deployment of warehouse automation solutions.
  • Perform comprehensive testing activities (unit, integration, and system testing), analyze system performance, and support optimization efforts to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Follow commissioning, RampUp, and customer go-live activities, including on-site collaboration and key user guidance when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Dematic SAP namespace and custom add-ons.
  • Accurately estimate development efforts and deliver assigned tasks on time, within scope, and in line with quality standards.

What are we looking for?

  • Educated to degree level (bachelor’s or higher) in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems or related technical field. SAP certifications are a plus.
  • 2-5 years of proven ABAP OO development experience (SAP EWM and/or WM preferred).
  • Experience contributing to development of technical concepts, commissioning, and key user training activities.
  • Solid understanding and experience with SAP specific technologies (e.g., tRFC, qRFC, bgRFC, ABAP WebServices, IDOC).
  • Proficiency in SAP Enhancement techniques (implicit/explicit Enhancements, BAdI, User-Exits, modifications).
  • Familiarity with integration technologies such as XML / JSON / SOAP / REST / JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in Version Control (e.g., ABAPGit) and IDEs (e.g., SAP WebIDE, Eclipse).
  • Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within international teams.
  • Full working proficiency in English. German language skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for up to 20% to support projects.
  • Bonus Points if you: Have knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, automated material handling processes, and supply chain logistics.
