About The Role

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring that employees are compensated accurately and on time while working with the People team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide insight on tax jurisdictions, including SUI, SIT, SDI, Locals and School District.
  • Review and respond to UI claims promptly and accurately
  • Responsible for creating and auditing payroll batches and ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate direct deposit information for all employees.
  • Generate compliance reports in  ADP 
    • Payroll Register (XLS and CSV)
    • Statistical Summary
    • Master Control
    • Deduction Register
  • Conduct 401K reconciliation and manage annual ERISA audit.
  • Understand and address situations where an employee requires immediate payment.
  • Analyze errors in paycheck amounts and ensure corrections are made before the next payroll cycle.
  • Utilize ADP QuickCalc and process manual checks as needed.
  • Carefully calculate gross pay, deductions, vacation accrual, and net pay.
  • Ensure all necessary tax withholdings are applied accurately.
  • Maintain records of manual checks for auditing purposes.
  • Verify garnishment orders,ensure their validity, and submit responses to garnishing agencies accurately and timely.
  • Comply and be aware of federal and state laws governing garnishments, including limits on amounts that can be garnished.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll to identify any errors or discrepancies and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Ensure all employee data is accurate to avoid delays and compliance issues.
  • And additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience processing multi state payroll.
  • 2+ years of experience with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP products
  • Knowledge of Smart Companlice and Validation Tables
  • Strong expertise with MS Excel and other MS applications
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong Analytical skills.

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $81,000- $95,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits 
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
