The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the end-to-end recruiting process for Medtronic’s internship programs, including:
Engineering Intern, WISE Intern, and Engineering Conversion Hiring
Support annual intern conversion hiring, including providing compensation recommendations, delivering verbal and written offers, and negotiating starting salary with candidates
Manage decline and backfill processes, and serve as a point of contact for candidate questions
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to review engineering and WISE intern resumes, schedule and coordinate interviews, and support offer and onboarding processes.
Match candidates to business needs, manage re-matching when preferences shift, and ensure all offers are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain compliance and process consistency across programs and systems (Workday, Paradox, Handshake).
Campus Recruiting Support
Coordinate logistics for campus events, including career fairs, info sessions, and networking events.
Partner with school teams and alumni to strengthen relationships at assigned universities.
Manage event budgets, collect candidate data and feedback, and track ROI to inform future strategy.
Intern Program Operations
Partner with program managers to plan and execute summer intern programming across Medtronic sites.
Serve as lead for virtual programming, communications, and engagement platforms (Teams, Abode, GroupMe).
Assist with process documentation, system training, and change management for new TA tools and workflows.
Reporting and Process Excellence
Create and maintain process guides; ensure data accuracy for reporting and analytics.
Support continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, candidate experience, and data integrity.
Collaborate with peers to streamline processes and drive consistency across early career programs.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, or, advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Nice to Have
Prior Medtronic experience
2+ years of campus recruiting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passionate and professional company ambassador
Possesses a high sense of urgency and provides a strong level of professional service and follow-through in a confidential manner
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Teams
