The Medallia – Voice of Customer team within The Hartford’s Enterprise Data Office is seeking Staff Data Engineer primarily responsible for configuring and managing VoC platform, Medallia. In this role, you will lead efforts to design, develop, and support scalable ETL pipelines, real-time data exports, storage solutions that power Medallia Voice of Customer (VoC) analytics. You will work across multiple medium- and large-scale initiatives to integrate survey data, streamline ingestion from Medallia Experience Cloud, and enable actionable insights through Snowflake, web applications, and real-time dashboards. You will support our software developers, data architects, analysts and data scientists on vital initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery architecture. You will lead the design of vital components and suggest/implement new frameworks and tools based on industry and technological trends and advances. You will also collaborate with process owners to review, interpret, and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions that support Medallia Voice of Customer (VoC) analytics. This includes developing systems aligned with user needs, ensuring code quality through robust documentation, adherence to best practices, and conducting thorough code reviews. Working in our collaborative environment, you will further develop your skills while also acting as a mentor and technical guide to other data engineers.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
