MediCard now boasts of more than half a million members and over 54,000 accredited doctors in over 1,000 hospitals and clinics nationwide. It also operates 16 MediCard free-standing clinics that provide services at par with those offered by hospitals minus the confinement.

MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy:

Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies, tax accounting and tax filing / reporting to optimise the tax paid by MediCard Philippines, Inc. and to ensure compliance with AIA group tax policy and statutory and regulatory requirements

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related attachments to the relevant taxation authorities
• Ensure internal controls related to tax are effective to mitigate tax risks
• Prepare tax position papers to document recommended sound tax treatments to alleviate tax burden and devise legal means to minimise tax liability using thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Manage tax audits by liaising with external tax consultant, recommend and review protest letters, reconciliations and supporting schedules prior to submission
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits
• Support transfer pricing documentation and compliance
• Conduct impact assessment of existing and upcoming tax legislations to support Medicard's tax planning and tax strategy
• Engage with external tax consultants to keep abreast of tax and regulatory developments and provide tax advice to internal stakeholders
• Supervise and mentor the Tax Senior Associate and Tax Associate
• Certified Public Accountant with at least five years of relevant experience from a Big 4 Firm or from a private company in a tax capacity role
