Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and disciplinary leadership to all coworkers across moulding, metal preparation, mixing, maintenance, and tool room functions.

Build a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Drive skill enhancement, training, succession planning, and overall development of shop‑floor employees.

Ensure a harmonious and safe working environment by promoting effective communication, engagement, and conflict‑free operations.

Accountable for the seamless and timely delivery of OK parts to the logistics department as per production commitments.

Establish robust systems to ensure adherence to customer schedules, demand forecasts, and production targets.

Monitor and control overall production flow, resolving capacity bottlenecks and ensuring uninterrupted shop‑floor operations.

Own and drive plant‑level KPIs including OEE, productivity, rejection reduction, cost efficiency, and uptime.

Lead continuous optimization of production processes, technologies, and methods in line with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and other global best practices.

Identify and deploy process improvement initiatives that enhance throughput, efficiency, and quality.

Develop and manage annual and long‑term production investment plans, including budgeting for equipment, tooling, technology upgrades, and process improvement projects.

Oversee equipment planning, specifications finalization, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle management.

Guide tool design, validation, and maintenance strategies to support stable and efficient production.

Maintain discipline on shopfloor and transparent communication with work council.

Ensure robust preventive and predictive maintenance practices for all machines and equipment.

Drive initiatives to enhance asset reliability, reduce breakdowns, and improve machine availability.

Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards for all production areas.

Build and sustain a safety‑first culture with zero‑incident mindset.

Collaborate with Quality function to maintain product standards, reduce defects, and drive systemic corrective actions.

Provide strategic input to management on production capacity, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

Support customer audits, internal audits, and global manufacturing initiatives.

Support digital transformation initiatives, automation, and Industry 4.0 projects.

Coordinate cross‑functionally for new product launches and engineering changes.

Ensure strong shopfloor discipline, escalation handling, and crisis management.

Qualifications:

B. Tech (Mechanical)

16+ years of experience in automotive or high‑volume manufacturing.

Experience in leading production teams and managing large-scale operations.

Proven exposure to Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and other CI methodologies.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, PFMEA, control plans, and quality systems.

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar).

Excellent leadership, analytical, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Strong problem‑solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure.
