The Cash & Trade Processing / SpeedCollect Sr Supervisor is an intermediate level role responsible for Check Clearing and Correspondent Banking Recon /Production team and Implementation Team. Oversight of Speedcollect services which spans across check collection/deposit, partnerbank relationships to facilitate transactions of clients and vendor arrangements designed to meet services agreed with ICG Clients.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Oversee the check clearing function and correspondent banking arrangements for speedcollect clients and this will include role as checker/authorizer for the process.
  • Ensuring that he/she is up to date with the latest product programs that can be offered to the clients in the space of Payments Receivables and ensure that clearing function is managed accordingly.
  • Engage with Clients during implementation of a new product availed and this comes with a fair understanding of the platforms to be used to record and facilitate client's transactions.
  • Responsible in ensuring day to day activities are completed and performed within the agreed timeframe and industry cut-offs.
  • Partner with BCMA and Products in strategically driving solutions for the client which also brings optimum level in operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews with clients and Citi internal partners to detail services rendered, volume if applicable and latest updates on the services rendered to the clients.
  • Be able to facilitate and coordinate with third party vendors and partner client requirements and capacity/capability required to support the services Citi offers.
  • Monitors and completes control related testing for the group and be able to escalate critical matters to the unit or group head.
  • Establish a clear checklist for the group to ensure all production related activities are executed accordingly.
  • Coordinates with vendor or correspondent bank where it is necessary to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Performs reconciliation and attestations on general ledgers linked to the processes. Participates and leads key projects for the team and supports the unit head in driving efficiencies within the team.
  • Be able to act as back-up to colleagues performing tasks within Speedcollect Operation.
  • The officer will also be responsible in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, Citi Policy standards and controls revolving the services we offer.
  • Drive positive changes relating to improvement of services to clients focusing on automation and digitization.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a related role in cash and trade operations and management Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills
  • Effective management, influencing and relationship skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
