U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer – Application Architect in Jacksonville, Florida.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer – Application Architect will be responsible for technical design and architecture; developing software application architecture and blueprints on which functional and non-functional requirements can be met; reviewing developer technical designs; translating user requirements to technical requirements; designing application's technical infrastructure, such as application components, platforms, interfaces, development tools, and testing approaches; converting specifications into design approach instructions to solve business problems through automation support; participating in the definition of non-functional requirements and ensuring application architecture supports these requirements; engaging in comprehensive discussions with Business and Marketing teams to elicit and gather requirements, facilitate component discussions and determine the necessary technologies for seamless application development; creating detailed project plans; overseeing task assignments and resource allocation; collaborating with users to define and refine requirements; monitoring project progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes; and driving initiatives to support SEO improvement and personalized user experiences, showcasing a commitment to enhancing project outcomes and user engagement. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems Security plus 2 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or related. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems Security plus 5 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst or related in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience. 

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 2 years of experience with Master’s or 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s with: (a) designing and developing custom components, ensuring accessibility compliance, creating editable templates, and implementing workflows; (b) enhancing deployment timelines and mitigating project roadblocks during the development lifecycle;

(c) engineering applications with intricate interactions involving Databases, Shared drives, and Daily jobs for efficient data retrieval; (d) implementing image optimization strategies to enhance overall page performance and user experience; (e) leveraging AEM tags feature by storing tags in Mongo DB; (f) establishing robust pipelines for automated deployments and integrated sonar security scans into the development process, ensuring the delivery of secure and high-quality solutions; (g) developing automated workflows with scheduled triggers, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency in project delivery; and (h) utilizing the following tools/technologies: system development life cycle; programming languages; product and vendor evaluation; information security management; requirements analysis; system testing; on-line transaction processing tools; application testing; application development tools; user

interface design; business process modeling; application delivery process; IT environment; information management and application design, architecture; and all of the following tools and technologies: AEM, Java, HTML, Jenkins, CSS, Git; HTL, JavaScript, CI/CD methodologies, and jQuery. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.  Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $140,317 - $ 159,400.
