As a Server QA Engineer, you will work in projects involving diverse architectures, including monolithic and microservices environments. Our services cater to Set-Top Boxes (STBs) and operators, and your responsibilities will span across:

  • Manual Testing: Testing service APIs (REST API) and conducting integration testing using real user equipment and various emulators.
  • Environment Configuration & Analysis: Configuring and analyzing environments using Linux OS and Docker containers.
  • STB Setup & Configuration: Preparing Set-Top Boxes for testing purposes, ensuring proper setup and configuration.
  • Database Interaction: Performing basic database operations using Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Cassandra.
  • Log Analysis: Analyzing and understanding application logs to troubleshoot and validate functionalities.
  • Dynamic Product Testing: Engaging in frequent testing cycles due to regular product updates, requiring in-depth research and exploration of new functionalities.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Working with extensive documentation and addressing gaps through proactive communication with teams.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and principles.
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and delivery processes.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking systems and version control systems.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
  • Proficiency in using the Unix/Linux command line.
  • Knowledge of SQL and basic database interactions.
  • Understanding of the network stack (TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Technical English proficiency for documentation and communication.
  • Good understanding of REST API principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automated Testing: Experience in developing automated tests.
  • Shell Scripting: Familiarity with shell scripting for testing tasks.

Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with debugging TV-receiving equipment or multimedia applications across various platforms: Linux, Android, Android TV, iOS, Tizen, WebOS.
  • Understanding of JSON and REST/SOAP protocols.
  • Experience with REST API testing using Postman
  • Experience in integration testing across complex systems.
