Mechanical Design Engineer- Principal-Onsite Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer- Principal​ to join our technical staff in our Integrated Systems group in Santa Clarita, CA!

Santa Clarita is our center of excellence for hardware level system integration and advanced package design.

As our Mechanical Design Engineer- Principal you will prepare working plans, detailed drawings and complete mechanical or electrical drawings of moderately complex components and assemblies from notes, verbal instructions and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes, frequently using computerized equipment (e.g., CAD/CAM).  You will be engineering computations, writing specifications and making adjustments in drawings or specifications. You will verify completed work, check dimensions, material and quantities to be used.

Salary Information: $138,700.00 - $184,900.00

Your Challenge:

• Design and Document mechanical components and assemblies.

• Collaborate with other Engineering Departments, Program, and Operations in order to facilitate design activity.

• Participate in, and provide material for, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR and CDR).

• Generate deliverable documentation.

• Interface with internal and external customers IAW program need.

Your Expertise:

• 7 plus years of relevant experience

• Experience with MCAD software. SolidWorks is preferred.

• Experience with ASME Y14.5

• Familiarity with STE (Special Test Equipment) or Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is a plus.

• Familiarity with DFM/DFA is a plus.
