The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
- Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
- Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
- Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
- Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Application / Team Overview:
This role is with in APAC Payments and Receivables Team. This team is working various initiatives and projects related to transformation journey of Payments systems that include domestic as well cross border payments. This team also support existing systems across APAC supporting more than 15 countries. Payment Product processor are core of any payment system that sits between Payment initiated by our clients from various channels and our core banking systems. This Processors are where actual validation of data, sanction screening and account posting happens as part of entire life cycle of Payment flow. This is one the critical system as it processes millions of transactions in a day covering Payroll Processing, Government Tax Payments, Vendor Payments and much more.
Role Description:
Hands-on Full stack Java Lead developer with extensive experience developing Microservices based API leveraging containerized deployment stack who will take the overall responsibility for end to end software development, continuous integration and continuous deployment, meeting a high level of code quality working within established timelines and Engineering Excellence best practices.
The ideal candidate will be dependable and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high pressured environment is essential.
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
- Overall, 7 to 10 years of total experience in technology Application development hands-on experience in Core Java, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Springboot, Angular and related Java technologies.
- Previous experience of micro services application design and led the team of 6 to 8 engineers
- Hands-on experience in setting up CICD pipeline and various aspect of GIT workflow
- Use and proficiency in container-based deployment stack technologies such as Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes or similar platform.
- Use of an API specification such as Swagger, RAML.
- Experience in distributed systems architecture, specifically designing micro services, event gateways, eventual data consistency as well as event stream logging and tracing.
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Experience with version control, e.g. GIT, issue/problem tracking through Jira, team collaboration software e.g. TeamCity and continuous integration environments e.g. uDeploy.
- Clear understanding various design patterns and leveraging the same to solve complex technical problems.
- Understanding working in Scrum Team and various Scrum ceremonies
- Clear understanding of Scalable and highly available systems
