The On-Site Field Service Technician will provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications. This includes: advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure.
Maintain, optimize, test and document complex communications systems
Perform preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with focus on trend analysis and documentation of results
Perform maintenance of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshooting to resolve system/application related issues
Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered as part of system maintenance, upgrades or support issues
Team with engineering, project management and sales personnel to effectively maintain, optimize and support advanced communication systems which meet or exceed customer expectations
Qualifications:
Network+, CompTIA or related certificate
Proficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and bridges
Understanding of RF, telecommunications, and wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
Knowledge of computer systems (including hardware, operating systems, and applications) and Intermediate knowledge networking.
Proficient in the use of test equipment (i.e., T1 and ethernet testers, antenna systems analyzers (FDR's), communications systems analyzers, spectrum analyzers, Cat 5 and cat 6 cable testers, wattmeters, etc.)
Experience with logging recording systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communications systems and networking equipment
Preferred experience with one of the following LTE or Private LTE Nokia system knowledge, Juniper Routers and Aruba Switches configuration work and experience
Self motivated and able to quickly learn new system types and technologies as they are introduced.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Candidate Requirements:
This position will require a security clearance (Department of Energy)
Must have a current, valid driver’s license and no outstanding traffic violations
Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s) within 15 months after your start date with Motorola Solutions.

Target Base Salary Range: $43,400 - $72,400 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Associates Degree OR 10+ years of experience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Engineering, Networking Equipment, IP Networking Equipment, Computer Network Installation, Configuration, System Maintenance, Cabling, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Bridges, Solutions Architecture, ASTRO 25, P25, WAVE VoIP, or Military experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
