This Procurement Manager will provide leadership and oversight for the Distribution/EEE Procurement Team within Mission Systems' Category Management Organization. This team within Category Management Procurement & Subcontracts has a specialty in all types of Distribution/EEE Category Managed parts, with a focus on our most critical suppliers. This position reports to the Category Management Subcontracts Manager and has supervisory responsibility for a team of Supply Chain Procurement Specialists.  

Responsibilities require the individual to lead a team performing all phases of the procurement process, including RFQs, meeting tight deadlines and turn around times, and meeting all compliance requirements. The individual will be responsible for mission success of their supply chain responsibilities and ensuring the development of talent to grow in GSC. The position works with Planners, Program Management, Technical Leads, and other functional team members to manage the relationship with suppliers in support of Program performance objectives.

As a Manager, the position will have employees reporting directly to them; which entails day-to-day direction and oversight of the employees’ work product to include the preparation, negotiation, and administration of a mixed portfolio of procurements and assuring compliance with company PrOP and government regulations. They will work closely with the Category Management Subcontracts Manager and Director to meet department strategy and objectives and to manage oversight of the employees work product and individual career development needs.

This role is onsite / hybrid and can be Worked out of the Linthicum MD, San Diego CA, Woodland Hills CA, or Rolling Meadows IL facility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with 9 years of Supply Chain (or related and relevant) experience.
  • 5+ years of team lead or management of people.
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success with problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, legal, operations, logistics, or program management.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with the skills to influence others, interact successfully with peers, and with all levels of management in the organization.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Federal, Commercial and/or Department of Defense environments.
  • Experience in managing or executing Proposals in support of a Government customers.
  • Experience in managing supply chain procurements in support of Government customers.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing complex agreements such as long term agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Overriding Terms and Conditions Agreements.
  • Data Analysis skills to understand processes and seek out efficiencies. Ability to find the route of an issue through data manipulation.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others.

    Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $119,800.00 - $188,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
